This page is about some of our clients and what they thought of our service.

Flash is a 3.5 year old Japanese Akita who couldn’t be walked around other dogs as he showed some slight aggression towards them after being attacked by two other dogs. After chatting about Flashes behaviour and why it was occurring Keith explained what method we were going to use in order to change Flashes behaviour. During the consultation the method was demonstrated to me before getting me to practise it away from other dogs at first and then we went out and practised around other dogs. Flash picked it all up quickly and responded very well, which gave me more confidence to deal with this problem. A few days later a training programme was emailed out to me covering all the training that Flash required. The training programme was easy to follow and understand and after putting it all into practise Flash has become a lot calmer around other dogs. I thought the price was extremely reasonable was worth every penny and I have recommended the service to others.

CoCo The Rottweiler
Coco is a nine month old Rottweiler who was jumping up at visitors coming into the house and jumping up at strangers in the street and we also needed some recall training in particular around other dogs. The consultation was Excellent, 10/10 and I found the training programme that we received afterwards veryeasy to understand and follow. The consultation was excellent value for money, I honestly thought it would cost more than it did. I would definitely recommend the service to others.

Butser The English Springer Spaniel
Butser is English Springer spaniel who was possessive with bones and toys leading to growling and occasional snapping. He also growled at his owners when being brushed or dried off and he pulled on the lead. I found that the Consultation was efficient and to the point. Keith explained that the dog was anxious in the situations in which he was growling rather than aggressive and developed practical techniques to relax the dog. He offered two options for dealing with the pulling and while taking more time than the growling issue, it is working. The training programme was excellent and practical. Having consulted other trainers I would have expected to pay more for Keith’s level of experience and for the effectiveness of what’s been put in place. That said the training was affordable and I have already recommended the service to others.

Rufus The Border Collie x Springer Spaniel
Rufus, our border collie x springer spaniel came to live with us as a six week old puppy. Although always a bit nervous, he had over a period of 4 years, become increasingly dominant and then began to show aggression towards strangers. We had unwittingly allowed him to become pack leader. Keith helped us all by enabling us to reassert out roles in the pack and thus allowing Rufus to far less dominant. Keith's excellent advice has helped us all so much over the past months and we are delighted that Rufus is now a happier and more relaxed dog. He no longer sees it as his role to protect us, quite the opposite in fact, and we have our lovely family dog back. Keith helped us to manage our behaviour and thereby help Rufus to be himself and we are really grateful for that. The follow up advice was very welcome when we had a 'little wobble' a couple of months into the training. We would definitely recommend Keith to our friends, in fact we already have.

Sparky The Border Collie
Sparky's problems were chasing cyclists and joggers, jumping up at people who were close to him or people that he suddenly came across i.e. when turing a corner. He has always been absolutely fine with children and adults with dogs. He also seemed to dislike people carrying bags or meeting people in confined spaces. It was a very thorough consultation, without any time pressure and I have experienced excellent results from the advice that has been given. The training programme that was supplied was easy to follow and carry out - it was simple and very effective. The conusltation was fantastic value for money, I expected to pay more, and thought the service was undervalued and the fee should have been higher. I would definitely recommend the service to others.

The Problems with Molly were that she would get over excited when visitors came round to our house, and would jump all over them demanding attention. Also when walking along the street she would want to go up to people to be smoothed. I found the consultation with Keith very informative.
The jumping up problem was solved by telling our visitors to ignore her when they arrived and putting Molly outside the room and giving her some time out. This was repeated each time she came back into the room and jumped on our visitors (like a naughty step for children). After repeating this about three times she realised that if she didn't jump up she could stay in the room. The walking along the street problem was solved by getting Molly to watch me and therefore take her focus off of people walking by.
This works well as soon as she sees a person she now sits down, although she doesn't always get a treat, but gets loads of praise instead. A few days after the consultation we received our training programme by e-mail. It was excellent. All the family read it and understood it, as it was clearly set out. Also it was possible to phone Keith for advice if there were any problems, which there were not. The price was very reasonable and I have already recommended a few people to one to one canine training and behaviour.

We have experience with a variety of different breeds of dog with a wide variety of problems, if you think we may be able to help you then please feel free to.....
Marty The CollieMarty is a rescue collie and we had problems with calling him back to us, location guarding in that he would guard the sofa and the bed and would growl if we approached and we also had problems getting him into the car. We found the consultation to be excellent and that included the practical demonstrations which gave us the opportunity to practice also. The training programmes that followed were practical and easy to follow. The price was considerably cheaper than some others in area and we have already recommended the service to others.
